I am proud to say that I am a supporter of marriage equality and while in my role as a Commonwealth appointed Civil Marriage Celebrant I am required to work within the framework on the Federal Marriage Act, my approach, passion and commitment to planning a Commitment Ceremony is no different to that of a wedding.

My goals are exactly the same – to find that moment in time, for the two of you, to share and recognize the importance of your relationship and the future you are looking forward to sharing with each other.

It is important to be clear that the Australian Government currently recognizes marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Should you choose me as your celebrant in no way can I legally marry you or give any misleading impressions that a legal marriage is taking place.

For me a perfect commitment ceremony encompasses some of the traditional elements of a wedding, adds them to elements and interests that are unique to you as a couple and creates a memorable moment for you and your closest family and friends.
