I met with a nice couple recently where over the course of our chat the bride-to-be very proudly stated that she was definitely not a Bridezilla. Not a chance. No way, I’ve got this whole wedding planning thing under control. Hmmm her overly sensitive line of questioning and fixation with quite small details indicated to me otherwise. More than anything after our meeting (I’m happy to report that I’m not working with this couple) it got me thinking “did she even know that she was a Bridezilla?”

No one in planning their big day sets out to turn into the dreaded Bridezilla (or Groomzilla – rest assured there are many of you out there!) however what can you do to stop it when it stars to take hold? For those Brides (and Grooms) who are perhaps a little worried that your big day is taking on a life of its own the following quiz from Wedding Ideas Mag (UK) might help… or not, I’ll leave that up to you to decide!

Are you a Bridezilla?

And for the record, whether you’re a Bridezilla or a Bridechilla, I’m open to working with all types of couples. My role in the process is to make getting married as simple as possible. And a lot of fun. Because your wedding really is just one day after all – finding the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with, now that is the hard part! And by the time you meet me you’ve hopefully done that already.

Best regards,

Nicky
